Demonic Frenzy at Gollux (Demon Avenger)

The Demon Avenger 5th job skill, Demonic Frenzy, doesn't hit the first stage at Gollux head.
Don't know if was intended or not, but the blood spilled on the ground is not hitting him only hit the jewel (last stage).
Any other class with those kinda spells experience this? Or is this only happening with Demonic Frenzy?
Is it possible to change the jaw hitbox in order to "ground" spells do damage in first stage?
