Inkwell Needs to Address the Bigger Problems

This Inkwell Note felt very lackluster. It still doesn't address the major concerns we are still waiting out on. All you did was sum up what was done since Maplecon and the recent changes such as the Scania merge.

Universal Cash Shop: We are the only region without a universal cash shop. Even CMS/TMS when they didn't have it were transparent on that they were still working on it since the system needed tens of thousands of inventory. They soon got the shared cash shop. Why are you not discussing this with us? Was GO WEST just an excuse to skip out on other key features since its makes us need to roll more for fashion and buy more Vac Pets? It would had better if he told us we are getting it but the cash shop unification progress is taking longer than expected due to technical difficulties similarly to how the quick character swap feature took a while due to our weird launcher/character selection page. We are not the kind of players that ignores it. We watch watch happens in TMS, CMS, JMS and KMS so things so we would know if we are getting treated fairly or getting slop.

Astra Secondary Transfer Expansion List: We might be months ahead of this issue, but Inkwell and his team should begin addressing some of their plans on how Astra Equipment transfer will work in GMS. Many players uses PNO for their secondaries for that bit of extra stat and Dual Blades use Sweetwater Kataras and some warriors choose to use Terminus Defenders. All of these items need to be addressed since most of us invested a lot into making them strong and it would absolutely suck if the Astra secondary system hits us this summer and no one is prepared for it since we are using items that are incompatible with the system. I'm not looking for an answer, but at least some acknowledgement on this matter and they would be consideration for our special secondaries.

Reg Server Progression: I know most players are playing in Reboot, but Reg is the server most content is designed for. After New Age, KMS had the cubing rates drama and decided to do away with cubes (for the most part) and introduce Magic Wand. It used meso and re-rolled like a Black Cube for potential and White Additional Cube for Bpots (at a later date) Both cases allow you to choose whether you want the new result or not. This revolutionary system came at the cost of limited mesos from daily character farming and removal of crafted and boss drop cubes.

The part about using mesos to reroll potentials and getting the ability to choose made zero sense to Reboot players since they were already doing it and it just came with a daily meso cap for them. This however, wasn't the case with Reg server as cubing and especially bpotting were a nightmare due to how rarely Solid and Hard Cubes dropped from bosses and how the Reward Point shop only sells 5 of each cube per month. But since most of the complaints came from Reboot, Inkwell just didn't change anything with the servers so Reboot and GMS Reg remained untouched. Reg never got wand had we still have to deal with our awful cubing system since we are just the minority of the GMS population.

The way Reg works is complete shambles. 5 Brights, 5 Glowing and 5 Bonus Brights from the reward points shop plus one more of each if you do the entire month of dailies for 6 cubes each is an extremely limited. The boss cubes such as Solid, Hards and Mythical Cubes and Bonus Mythical Cubes hardly work and the first 2 mentioned aren't guaranteed drops and are also untradeable. Since the first two cubes are untradeable, players sell cube "service" by having you trade the item to them and they cube it and return it to them. This is terrible since:
  • Scammers: They would take your item and just run off with it.
  • Meeting: You have to find and meet the seller at agreed upon time.
  • Untradeable Items: Some items cannot be transferred without use of a PSOK so there is wasted NX/RP involved. Also some items cannot be PSOKed at all such as some secondaries, Emblems and Genesis Weapons etc.

The case is similar when we get Karma Brights and Karma Bonus Brights provided via events. We once again get very little of them and them being Karma makes it harder to work on anything. Most secondaries remain tradeable after wearing so they are always ineligible for Karma Cubes. Karma Cubes can only be used on untradeable items so you cannot cube something unless you make it untradeable first by wearing them first or receive a PSOK'ed item. Karma Cube Service is a nightmare aside from trust and meeting, but also because you have to pay extra for PSOK and worry about wearing out Scissor counts on higher end items with Scissor Counts.

The meso market is junk too. We can convert the mesos we earn from farming, merching and bossing into Maple Points to buy the NX Cubes. Due to the amount of inflation due players using CoR and FZ and bots (mostly bots,) it takes lot of mesos to get any cubes from the cash shop. A character that solos up to HSeren can make about a billion a week from boss crystals. Due to the awful meso rates, that player can only afford one Bright Cube or one Bonus Glowing Cube. Using our mesos to convert to Maple Points is just getting harder and harder

The cubes normally sold at the cash shop aren't that good. The endless Glowing and Bright Cubes are the same as Reboot but sold for NX instead at 1,200 NX and 2,200 NX respectively. We got Bonus Glowing Cubes for 2,400 NX, but no Bonus Bright Cubes for sale all the time. We may have a constant supply of Bright Cubes for those who spend, but there is no way of cubing Bpots safely all rolls replace the previous results. You can lose 2L lines of Bpot when trying to go for 3L. You cannot get stronger by cubing either potentials unless you really whaling and reg servers do spend but we aren't all whales.

Most of the higher end content from KMS assumes we have access to Magic Wand or constant access to recubing items without losing progress. Reboot is doing fine since they can a constant supply of cubes and don't have to worry until they face Extreme Bosses which is pushing their top players to they limits with the limited enhancing systems they got. This isn't the case in Reg sincethe average players don't have constant access to cubes, the cubes usually don't allow you to keep results, and all means on turning to mesos to cubes via maple points is getting less and less effective. Going WEST and allowing Reboot to continue what is doing worked for Reboot, but is was a bad move to "DO NOTHING for Reg. Reg is falling behind due to our cubing issues not being addressed and KMS moving along. I felt like if Reg followed KMS and got Magic Wand and we embraced bossing on alts for mesos and dealing with lower meso from farming, players would be able to progress. Players have been wanting Magic Wand including Niru and Bacun and the few vocal players who play Reg. GMS cannot survive on limited RP and boss cubes, cube service and cubes that don't allow you to save progress.
