Luminous Annoying Flashing Animation since 177.1

The 177.1 patch included various skill adjustments to several characters, including Luminous.
One of the prominent thing that was changed for Luminous, was their skill that allows you to change between light and dark mode (Sunfire and Eclipse).
Before the patch, one would have to manually press the skill to change between light or dark mode, and would stay permanently in that mode until they pressed the skill again (or used Equalize).
After the patch however, it feels as if this is now an automatic feature and encourages the player to equally use their light and dark skills. This is fine.
The problem is the 'flashing animation' when the character changes to light or dark mode and there's a split second of a purple border or light blue border (depending on the mode you're in) around the screen. This flashing animation is far more frequent than before (every 10seconds ish), such that it's becoming a hindrance to my gameplay.
It's a nice animation and all, but because it's too frequent and has that sharp, bright flashing effect, it's starting to hurt my eyes and don't find it cool anymore. I wish there was a way to hide that.
Is there a way to remove this with the ingame settings?
Is anyone else having a similar experience?

I sent a ticket regarding this, and was advised to post it on the forum.

    Does increasing skill transparency (in the System Options) help at all?

    no the flashing still there. The transparency only works on attacking skills. That flashing is like skill effect. It flashes every 10 secs on the boarder of the screen. If you play Luminous, you would understand what I am talking about.

    Yeah what PepsiGrassJelly said. The transparency doesn't affect that flashing animation.

    doesn't really bug my eyes, do you have your screen brightness to high? are you playing in a dark space?
