Hello everyone, I would like to discuses about a recent case that happened to me recently.
my info:
Character name: MrLuk
Server: Scania
Case information: I've recently dropped an item that took me over a year of work to create item's name: Arcane Symbol: Chu Chu Island (Max Lv.20) Time and Date : 7/2/19 12:30 PM PDT
I have decided to contact support team due to the fact i know most of my friends got the items they dropped by accident back, as I contacted support team on the live chat the guy basically wanted to send me off by writing me a ticket and wait for response - even thought I was extremely upset I waited for the response.
Later on that day I actually got a response in which the item is not retrievable and this was after team investigation which made me presume that i did not provide enough details or any legitimate proof to make it justifiable , I offered my help to provide any evidence or help the team change that odd conclusion. but I got refused again - without any explanation from the live chat representative.
I have decided to gather all my determination and hope for a last attempt, I have entered live chat again and asked to contact senior team member and as I contacted one - he explained me that due to the team's investigation and decision they do not retrieve any lost items - and they do not give any compensation or help to their long playing and paying players.
I'll now provide evidence of how the team did provide compensation and retrieved items not too long ago:

That's how the team choose to discriminate us players and I found this unbelievably upsetting.
Before I move onto any legal response in that case i do request any help from you player who might have gotten a dropped item back to replay on this chat, and any FAIR and decent response from any of the game representatives to explain this unfair discrimination between who they shell all see equalto replay on this chat, and any FAIR and decent response from any of the game representatives to explain this unfair discrimination between who they shell all see equal.

UPDATE:
Now seems they "checked" but no result..
seems to me they didnt cheked that well..

Your first link is to a full album, you have to embed images separately, can't just drop an album and have it work with bbcode. Secondly, you need direct links for image embeds in posts, that's the url you get that ends with a file format, be it .jpg or .png and so forth. This is the url you get if you right-click your images and click "copy image location".

Yup. It's total BS. If you're a streamer who has any decent reputation whatsoever, you'll get your item back with the exact stats it had. If you're a F2P nobody, they couldn't give two cares in the world. If they can check their logs to see you dropped the item, why can't their logs show what it was that was dropped...? The laziness and incompetence with Nexon is second to none, I swear to god...

Most likely the database entry is destroyed with the item. So they can tell which item was destroyed, but all the data about the item (stats) are lost.
This is why I would assume they need screenshots of the item. With streamers, they can't fake the item stats if they show them on stream.
If this is actually the case why, perhaps Nexon should keep a database of dropped items around for a week or two.

I have around 20 screen shots that prove that I had it and any JR with knowledge about PhotoShop would likely to say its not a fake photo's.
More for that you can see the photos I added about my friend case shows they ASK for screen shots of the item and in the end they gave him the item back, so why would any case wont be treated like that?

We already know that certain GMs are more knowledegable about the game than others, certain GMs are also probably more comfortable in what they can/can't do when it comes to giving players things.
Didn't we lose a CM over him giving a player an item? I could see why they'd think twice before handing stuff out.

Might be thinking of the mabi cm? The one what gave their friends some crazy endgame impossible-to-get-cause-materials weapon? Unless I, too, am thinking of something entirely different.

I think that to restore a player item that he accidentally throw away isn't giving away free items..
And again if they restore items for other players / streamers / MVP diamonds why would my case be any different?

Somewhere through the grape vine. I didn't look into it as I wasn't too heavy into MS at the time.
What I had heard was that KThxBaiNao was let go because he was restoring items for players, or for unbanning players he deemed not hacking, etc.
Basically something to do with overstepping his boundaries. As I said, didn't look into it.

KThxBaiNao didn't have a GM account, so he couldn't have done any of that even if he wanted to.
You might be misremembering a speculation of part of the community, that he was let go because he was meddling in Customer Service business by pushing them to investigate ban appeals, or because he was in general too much "on the players' side" (imagine that meme format of the guy being thrown out the window after making a not-cruel suggestion in a meeting).

At any rate, GMs do have the ability to create items and they do use that ability to recover or compensate players. For a recent example, see https://www.reddit.com/r/Maplestory/comments/c5xfqk/remember_when_i_said_i_accidentally_extracted_my/
I don't know why they chose not to recover OP's arcane symbol.

Not that it helps OP or these people on reddit, but I highly suggest not using the default layout for the inventory.

    rLaTiD9.png
Switching to the larger layout and never using sort works wonders for me.
I just create a dead space near the top left corner for equips and push everything to the far right on other tabs.
New items appear at the top of the list in shops, making it easier to sell junk without selling stuff you care about by mistake.
I haven't accidentally dropped or sold anything since switching to this.

If I were you, I would just dead-zone solidly the first four columns, the expanded inventory retains the standard inventory function, but displays everything in one window with no need for scrolling. It still fills rows four across and eight down.

I do for the other tabs, but not for equip. It's easier for me to manage it like this, with drop gear being separated from the rest of the gear.
I don't sell equips to the shop, only extract, so it's not like the row/column system matters for that.
To be clear, the rest of the inventory not shown is completely full. So if I moved all that stuff the dead space would no longer be square.
