  • A case for Jett, Please reconsider it's removal!

Agreed. Jett is a very unique class with a unique aesthetic that makes her a great addition to the game. Removing her and replacing her with an Explorer, especially without adequate compensation for her removal, is a huge blow to everyone who's put time and effort into progressing their characters. Overseas content allows for a special kind of enjoyment in the game outside the usual classes and storylines, and it would be a shame for all the work that's been put into developing it to just be scrapped without any way of replacing it with something just as unique.

  • Suggested Changes for GMS' Localization of Odium

The GMS localization for the Odium storyline omitted several important details from the original KMS text, which I think should be modified before being released officially.

    1. The localization of Alter's first conversation with the Adversary omits the reference to the "will of the world"

    KMS translation:
Alter: "That’s right. Once the war was over, the researchers followed the will of the world and disappeared."

The will of the world is another way that the game refers to the Overseers. The GMS localization omits the key detail that the Overseers had ordered the researchers to sequester themselves in the realm of the sages.

    2. One of the dialogues in the research journals that the player has to collect about Kaling omits the mention about the test subjects' sole desire being that they want to become an Adversary:

    KMS translation:
"…That’s right. Our experiments had a critical weak point.

Adversaries born in Odium lost their sense of self.

    Throughout the cruel experiments,
the Vessels lose the things that made them human.

Their individuality. Their values. Even their sense of self…

All that remained was their desire to become an Adversary,
and their tenacity to fulfill their assigned destiny."

The GMS dialogue keeps this ambiguous by simply stating "Their tenacity. Their sense of destiny, of purpose." The detail that these test subjects' sole desire is to become an Adversary is extremely important regarding Alter's desire to return to Odium and become an Adversary, as well as Kaling's desire to fuse the Four Perils with an Adversary in order to complete her experiment to create a powerful enemy of the gods.

    3. Tai Yu's response to the Adversary asking him whether he's a Vessel omits him mentioning that he's a defective Vessel:

    KMS translation:
Player: "You were able to enter the door before us, so that means… you really are a Vessel."
"Tai Yu: Not a successful one, but something like that."

This instead gets changed to a joke that omits the mention of an important plot point, as it's otherwise impossible to determine whether Tai Yu is a true Vessel like the Adversary or not.

    4. Kaling's mention about "the most knowledgeable informants" knowing nothing about Hundun is omitted in the GMS localization.

    KMS translation:
Kaling: "Even the most knowledgeable informants knew nothing about the last of the Four Perils, Hundun."

This detail was meant to explain why Kaling had been working at the Information Broker Bureau in Hoyoung's storyline, leaving this an open-ended question without its mention.

    5. The GMS localization of the original name for the Seal Stone being the "Godsphere" should be changed to "Godspear".

The original name for the Seal Stone in KMS is "신의 창", aka the "spear of god". The intention behind it was to suggest that the Seal Stone is a weapon that can pierce through the Ancient Gods. The Seal Stone that Hundun gives to the Adversary in Odium is round, which is markedly different from the jewels that every other Seal Stone in the game is depicted to be. Hundun also notes that the Seal Stone of Odium is well-worn from disuse, suggesting that its round shape is indicative of this. Because of this, the localization "Godsphere" would suggest that most Seal Stones, by default, are round, when they are instead jewel-shaped. Additionally, the cut of the jewels is much more reminiscent of a speartip, rather than a sphere. I strongly believe that because of this, "Godsphere" should be changed to "Godspear" in order to remain consistent with KMS and other regions. MSEA, for instance, has localized "신의 창" to the "lance of the gods", once again reinforcing the imagery of a spear.
