Unable to create character

Currently trying to create a demon character, however every attempt to name the character is giving an error "We couldn't process your request. Please try again later". I've done random letters and numbers in order to see if it's just an error caused by a taken name, but still getting the same error, so i know it's not the name.

Edit: I've also attempted to create other characters, to the same effect. The game lets me know when a name is taken, but when a name is not taken it gives me that error.
