"Transmogrification"?

Okay, I'm pretty sure the answer to this is no, but just to check: is there anything in MapleStory yet like transmogrification from WoW or that thing in DCUO where you could change equipment to look like other equipment? Besides Cash Shop items of course.

    Fusion Anvils in the cash shop, sometimes given out as event rewards(only twice thus far that I have personally been around for, so dunno before that). Other than that? Not really, no.

    Exactly what you described; you can place the appearance of one item onto another. Neither item is lost, and you get a free gift box for using one.
    Anvils cost 2,700 NX in the cash shop, and they can be used on items of the same type and gender (I.E. 2H sword can be anviled to a 2H sword, but a gun can't be anviled to a dagger).

    Nexon has given them out in events and in coin shops before, so if you can't afford one right now you might be able to get one in the future.

    The only stumbling block is that you also cannot fuse between genders. Meaning that if something is unisex, you cannot anvil a male or female item onto it; you need to find a unisex item to anvil onto it. And yes, it does suck. Severely limits what you can do with anvils after a point.
