I just want to talk about phantom for a bit, and how it has some weird kinks and stuff
1) i already made a post about this long time ago. It was about why Phantom can't steal skills from Jett, The Gm's said it was because the Dev didn't think of it, and how Jett wasn't an explorer long time ago. Also how Jett is (i THINK) a GMS exclusive, i know KMS doesn't have it, idk about JMS or MSEA, and Jett is an Explorer NOW, so Phantom should've been able to steal Jett's skill since, i think it was the RED update when Jetts, cannoneer, and dual blade got accepted into the explorer group. So it would be nice to actually fix this
2) I also made a old Post about this, but i saw it the wrong way. I said Phantom was weak and how his skill needed to change, but i ended up getting a comment how it's not really the skills that are the issues, Since Phantom is a hard class to fund, I don't really know a character could be harder to fund than other character, except for there gear. So i guess i'm asking for a little bit of a extra boost on Phantom's weapons (cane). ---->I'm not that confident about this <----
but i feel like Phantom should get a little boost since the damage barrier is gone, and since how Damage matters more than speed now.
3) i feel like Phantom need's a little bit more mobility, like how phantom depends on Cross Surge, and Rage for 2nd and 3rd job impeccable memory skill he can't really get a lot of skills for 4th job, because for 4th job most phantom would use one of there slots for "Final Cut" from dual blade, and 3rd impeccable memory, people would use 2 of the slots for Holy symbol (Bishop) and cross surge (Dark knight) then the last one would have to be the common (Arrow Blaster) Since They're gonna need it for Bosses, like Gollux for example, sadly i would use Arrow blaster but the problem is, I can't really do bossing and if i deleted Arrow Blaster who knows when i'll come across another Bowmaster ._. but i deleted it anyways so i could get blade ascension (Dual Blade) for an extra jump, i put that in my 4th impeccable memory slot, the main issue is, after i do so the only mobbing skill i'll have to use would be Mille aiguilles and that's not really a complete mobbing skill, (it tends more on the bossing skill) but they made it possible so u could mob with it (Which i am HAPPY they did) but i wish Penombre could be some use. Like how Penombre could be a Mobility skill, but i wanted to use Penombre as more of a Platform jumper skill. So for example it would be like Falcon Dive ( Hayato) how if you double jumped and tap falcon dive it would put you in the air and you would magically get to the platform on top of you. I wish you could use Penombre in the air so i could double jump and use Penombre to get to a Platform on top of me, Since Arcane River the Nameless town where the emotion Erdas are have so many high platform and without blade ascension (Dual Blade) I can't really get on those platform other than going back to the yellow portal, which is uncomfortable since, most classes would KS me and i would have to change channels when i was there first e_e.
So phantom is somewhat uncomfortable but still a fun class to use because no other class is like Phantom. So it would be great if Phantom could get some changes. I'm sure it will since Evan and Aran got a nice Re-vamp i'm sure the rest will also get a change after some time. Like Cygnus

Edit- OK so i'm adding a little extra to this post because well... i got off track with number 3 and got off subject ewe... I also wished that Penombre could be used as a little combo skill, since Penombre would go in the opposite direction u use it, it would move u, sometimes it's annoying sometimes it's not but i would end up using Phantom's 3RD skill "Rapier Wit" to move forward except there's a little bit of latency between those skill's so i thought maybe make Rapier Wit and Penombre like a combo skill, (so i mean like remove the little mili second u have to wait to use Rapier Wit after using Penombre) Like Penombre 4th skill clearly was meant to be a combo since it gives like a 50% damage increase in Rapier Wits, and Rapier Wits gives extra damage to Mille Cartes. I always thought those 3 were like some combo moves Phantom had some... well it had the same pretty little orange icon so i thought it matched and it gives extra damage to the other skills so those could also do damage with the skill. Maybe THEY'RE A COMBO SKILL, except it doesnt feel like it... like there's time space between when using Penombre then Rapier Wits, so i would end up using Speed infusion in my 4th job (Buccaneer) and then i would also take one of the Monster park Green potion that gives some attack speed, then it would... somewhat seem like it?
Sorry for adding this later i kinda thought i did but at the same time i felt like i got off subject.... I'm good at going off subject :P its kinda fun x'DDD

id wager there arent any revamps coming
just remember that once you do surge in power, the dmg output is insane, 3 line hurricane 4 line i4 you max crit rate
but having 3 lines right now would call for a weaker atk so id rather do that extra line and have it low atk than 2 atk and it be semi strong

I would use shroud walk if they changed it i guess, they make you go at least 3 direction at least, so it's bothersome , and at the same time mille might be weak but Carte Noir is the main attacking skill in phantom, It sends out a card every crit you do*
so mille doesnt need a change because of the burst damage carte does
and i don't think they should add in an extra line because tbh rn mille does kinda have 4 lines... that 1 extra line's from Carte noir his card skills. and it also does burst damage (every time u get up to 40 card and unload) so another line would just make it overpowered thats why i was asking if they could just boost his cane weapon, not a lot but a little bit so he would somewhat match up to the other classes.
for the beyond update, phantom isnt getting that much change except getting his Clair de Lune skill turned into a passive skill than a buff.
WOW they did boost phantom, Thanks for the link , i guess we just gotta wait for that update to come to gms .... yea i using showdown on phantom is really challenging because i guess you could go with holy smybol, then some explorer mobbing skill to gain some exp, but people rather use showdown with cross surge just for that 15 or 10 percent of drop and exp.
You can interrupt the skill at the first and second movement by pressing the button again, which takes you out of the "shrouded" state.
Hmmm well i'm asking if Phantom could be more mobile, shroud walk isn't really that mobile since u u have to press it again while other classes would just use the double jump (up) and ks you, like you could cc but it's a possibility that most cc are gonna be full. Maplestory isn't as interactive as people said it used to be long time ago before nexon removed things and etc. I feel like Phantom could get KS easily since like if it was competing with other classes it would just get destroyed with the range it has, mille wasnt meant for mobbing in the beginning. It was for bossing so impeccable memory IV was used as a explorer mobbing skill or u could use Penombre... but i wish Penombre had more... movement? like when u jump down you could attack the enemy mid air, or u can go platform to platform with it. Shroud walk is like a dark sight rip off except with teleportation ._.
god dam this game isn't gonna need explorer's anymore if they keep adding these nebs or node skills, i feel sorry for the explorer classes , i wonder how they're gonna keep explorer alive... i kinda want and don't want to see a decent Kishin node...

the beyond 5th job skill for phantoms is a skill that helps with map control, and like the demon avenger nether chaser, it can always be on
Shroud walk, two flash jumps in one jump, you can also use grapple hook node for more of a Y axis. You also have some form of lunge/dash attack. You're more mobile than most classes as a Phantom.
To my understanding, Shroud walk works as fast as you can press it. I saw a KMS video where a phantom was doing hard magnus... He does shroud walk->right->left->shroud walk in less than like 5 frames.
it has cooldown right now 5 seconds i believe if you use all 3 steps
ok idc about using shroud walk SDKLJS;LFJS i want a skill that's like an attacking mobility skill, like blade ascension IS SHROUD WALK BLADE ASCENSION D'8 I THINK NOT. I just want Penombre to be somewhat like a mobile Mobbing skill or at least a normal one? i guess, and plus I'm too low lvl for the Hook node, Phantom needs all the damage increase he could get and im like lvl 210 rn i'm trying to lvl up my phantom as fast a possible but its just not happening sdkfljs;lkfsjad.
1) Penombre could could be used in the air, to be used like falcon dive i already typed this in the original first post, like it's there and it's not like you see most phantom use it, so why not make it a little more mobile so phantom could actually prevent getting Kill skilled ( IM POINTING AT YOU NIGHT LORD) and you're little extra line in show down with the ninja star just flying all over e_e god i hate it. I guess Shroud walk is useful but just like Penombre most phantom don't use it, so the least Dev could do is just give them a little special boost ( as in the falcon dive thing for penombre and be able to use it in the air would be dope) and shroud walk... well shroud walk could just be like a 2nd teleportation skill, like luminous has o3o"... kinda

like i use the desktop keyboard keys for phantom and tbh i don't have enough slots to add shroud walk or anything so i'm just trying to find a skill that would attack and kinda be used as a double jump? teleportation or something.
Jetts are still a special kind of explorer and so their skills cannot be taken nor can they be switched to using the job change system or even use it.
desktop keyboard has more space in terms of comfortability than laptop, i have my shroud walk on G, mille aguille on R so it's right under it, since guild tab you can just press the menu key
