Friend can't start maple

Hii again
I recently talked to a friend and he wanted to play Maple again.
So we downloaded and installed it.
After starting the game the screen turns black. After that his background ( with pics of google chrome and suchs (cant think of the English translation right now ) turns super big. Then a message pops up saying: unable to start maplestory

We started the game with admin rights, downloaded it again. Nothing works.

Btw he uses windows 10

Do you guys know a solution?

Is he using the GameLauncher.exe ? If so, they discontinued it.
He has to either use it from steam or Nexon Launcher

Have your friend follow the steps in this link, and seeing if he is able to launch the client after.

We just tried this, it didn't work Gave the same error
