Since we cant really transfer to reboot or anything and majority of the population is in reboot why not just make it its seperate game? Since its kind of like a private server. It will most likely fix ANY lag when having 2x events or in general increase server stability to every other normal world.

Theyd have to hire separate staff to manage the community/ development/ sales/marketing etc.

Cant they just make another client for reboot only? Just use the same people/development and sales marketing as theyve already been doing.

Reboot shares Maple Points and Reward Points with the other servers. (Also NX, but that's shared across all Nexon games).

"The same people" are already overworked and can't keep up with regular Maplestory. The only thing that makes Reboot viable for Nexon (as opposed to the EMS and JMS Supreme worlds, which got shut down) is the fact that it uses the exact same client and runs the same content and events as the regular servers, with tiny differences controlled by a few flags. So it takes very little extra work.

If the lag is what's bothering you, then you should be suggesting configuring Nexon's network to give it separate hardware (routers, gateways, switches, or whatever) so that crowding there won't affect the other servers. But as far as I know that's already been done. Other servers don't normally suffer when Reboot is choked.
However, the lag and connectivity issues afflicting Maplestory this weekend have nothing to do with Reboot's event. They started at least 5 hours before the 2x drop and they're still ongoing even though it ended 6 hours ago. It's a network issue, or possibly a DDOS like MSEA's.
