Maplestory wants me to redownload the game

Everytime my pc crashes due to low battery, I always try to get back on Maplestory only to find out it wants me to redownload the whole game. I already have the files install and such so why does it want me to redownload? Is there a solution to this or will I have to wait out the download time?
