Suggestion:
Add list of 3rd party program names in Banning Guidelines or Code of Conduct.
Rationale:
"3rd party program" is broad category and NEXON' automated anti-hacking software is looking for specific processes running during the game. Global list of 3rd party programs doesn't exist so it cannot be used as explicit default.
List of such programs should be enclosed:
1. to make players aware which programs may have them banned when run during the game,
2. for NEXON to have strong proof that the player agreed to not
run or enable any of listed programs during the game.
Comment to 1st point:
I was unaware that some of programs running in background while I was playing the game would get me banned.
I didn't take seriously bogus accusation of using "3rd party software" which didn't even enclose the names of programs which are "violating" (quotation explained below) the ToS, in NEXON' estimation.
Comment to 2nd point:
From
Wikipedia: "Common third-party software includes macros, bots, and software/scripts to be run as add-ons for popular developing software." (I don't know what NEXON uses to define "3rd party software").
According to this is a macro script considered a 3rd party software if it doesn't work in the game? In
overall terms it is because it is able to improve some programs or operating system. However
from game' perspective and NEXON' ToS (EULA 1.4, Privacy Policy 4, CoC C., ) it isn't because it doesn't enhance the game in any way nor give you advantage.
The list will help to avoid broad argumentation and suppositious guilt claims because it will clearly say: "Don't run [programs' names] while playing the game.". Player will be forced to agree on this to be allowed to play the game. Further explanation of reasons for programs included in that list or how the program was used will be unnecessary or futile.
Again, by current EULA 1.4, Privacy Policy 4, CoC C.,
running macro, botting, hacking or alike software which is not used in-game or targets NEXON' products shouldn't be considered as violation of the agreements.
