Stuck since March 2017 (Can't access a character)

To whom it may concern,

I've made a forum post about this back in December, in which I could not access a character on my character list, and I just want to re-post it to see if anyone has anything they can mention to help me out.

Your original thread is a bit confusing; you're trying to report two issues at once and it isn't really clear what your video is showing.

That aside, my best personal guess is that the character was corrupted. I don't know if it's the character itself (very bad, but probably more likely) or an item on the character (less bad), but that's my guess.
If the character itself is corrupted (which might explain why support was unable to help you), then the only sure-fire solution would be to delete the character and remake it. That's worse-case scenario.

You mentioned getting robotic responses, which means you definitely tried a ticket. Have you tried Live Chatting instead? Usually they're pretty good at unsticking characters live. And if they can't access your character then something's definitely wrong.
Live Chat hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00AM to 5:00PM Pacific time.

Otherwise you also mentioned installing the C++ packages (although that wouldn't help with this particular issue), have you tried a full re-install of the game itself? Or a repair installation via the launcher?

Again, I've never heard of this happening, and my best guess is that something, either the character itself or an item or something is corrupted. If that is the case then I'm not sure there is an easy solution. I would personally suggest preparing for the worst, just in case the worst actually happens.

Thanks for the insight, I'll give live chat a try. I hope it's not a "you have to delete your character" scenario, because I've got quite a bit of valuables on that character that I would HATE to lose! I'll try what I can and see what I can do.

Edit: If it comes down to deleting the character, I won't even be able to do that! The game just crashes right when I even try to select the character page it's on. So even trying to delete it is a futile effort.
