Can't all chat or accept quests

no matter what I try, i can't enter a message to all chat. It won't display what I type in chat or in the comment bubble above my character's head.

Also I tried accepting a few quests (maplehood watch being one) and they disappeared but I cannot see them in my active quests window and no progress is being made towards completing it.

    Have you tried to restart your client or do a full shutdown of your computer? It might only be a memory leak.

    i restarted and it seems to have fixed it, i kept restarting the client to no avail. all seems well now though
