So is Ark coming out on 27th at 8 pm EST and 5 pm for PST since the release for UTC is 12 am right?

    Ark is released after maintenance, meaning once the maintenance is complete, you will be able to log on to the Ark character

    It specifically says 12 AM UTC, so Ark will probably be a "midnight" release rather than a post-maintenance release, which is 8 pm Eastern/5 pm Pacific, as the threadstarter believes.

    Starting June 20, you can pre-create new character, Ark! If you pre-create your character, you will receive lots of amazing gifts when Ark becomes available to play after maintenance on June 28. Participate in new events to earn Ark Coins which you can exchange for great rewards such as the Chaos Ring, Arcane Symbol Selector Coupon, damage skins, chairs, scrolls, and more in the Ark Coin Shop. Create a brand-new character (other than Ark) during the event period, and select it to have the special “Burning” effect when the Mega Burning Project event returns. After your character reaches Lv. 10, every time that character levels up it will gain an additional two levels all the way up to Lv. 150! "

    It does say in-game as well though and not post-maintenance either @Dark.
    They said the same for Illium and we had him available before maint.

    They likely just mean that you'll get the rewards for pre-creation after a maintenance (but that ark will become playable before that, as patch notes state). It's kinda poorly worded.

    doesn't matter to me, I assume some are just in a hurry to play him. But yeah, probably just missing a comma.
