Lag prevents finishing "race" quests

Currently I cannot finish Monad because I can't get past the part where you are riding on the shrelephant to get away from the huge Jellyrash. I also cannot finish the Kupo's Ride quest for the same reason. The controls are not sensitive enough because of lag. These quests are impossible to complete when the game lags at all.

    I also found Kupo's Ride impossible, but I did manage the Monad one on the third attempt.

    too much lag and the buttons don't work -> keyboard and on the screen
