Different Weekly Resets?

Why do Bosses have a different weekly reset from Legion quests? Would it be that difficult to have all things in game reset on the same day? Also why is there so much time before and after day change required for Legion ranks to be calculated? It also is half an hour after day change everyday that you can accept the day gift on the farm. These things should not take that long!!! It's not like actual humans are making the calculations!!! Dream Defenders ranks have been broken forever anyway, so why even have the calculation time?

    Computers still have delays when calculating, especially if they're being pushed to a different server (which would result in bottlenecks from the upload speed), flag suspicious patterns, or writing results to a file (bottlenecked by the read-write speed of the disk as well as the size of the data). I once had a computer program that took over an hour to finish its work on a single run.
    Computers can do many things, but they are are neither magic nor instantaneous.

    Dream Defender ranks are not broken in of themselves, that I know of. The character displays in-game are, which are likely unrelated to the rankings themselves.

    Dream Defender ranks are, in fact, broken.
    The time and stage for most participants appear as 0, and their order is therefore random.

    Thank you AKradian! There are people on the ranks for Dream Defender who don't even run it! Some of them can't run it because of the level requirement!!! Also why are Ranks on UTC Monday but Bosses are UTC Thursday for reset?
