Mir Soaring skill not working

Hi. I just came back to Maplestory after a long time of not playing. My character is a level 161 Evan. I recently completed the quest in Leafre in which you pay 50mil meso for a soaring skill for Mir, which should have enabled him to fly. I go to the mount tab, where the soaring skill is located it, and it appears to be broken.

Upon searching the forums, this seems to have been a problem for a while now. My question is, is there any way to fix it? And if not, why is it still a feature in the game, a "quest reward" that really only steals 50mil meso from the player?

    Mir had never flew using the mount soaring skill in any version of Maple, all information about it is wrong.
    (Do not confuse it with the gliding skill that Evan used to have many years ago, they removed it and you did not need the mount soaring skill for it)
