Every server including mine windia is so empty. It's so sad. I don't even see any stores in FM.

    The FM has been shut down.
    Buying and selling are now done through the Auction House, accessible from the Menu button at the bottom of your screen.

    I mean there's people still on the Maplestory Forum, so I'd assume people still play the game.
    Also, might want to get your eyes checked, Bera and Reboot are still live and kicking (albeit, bots).

    I made characters on both reboot and bera and they are both still pretty dead. At least the hours I go on. But back few years ago it was a lot busier even weird hours.

    The FM was so nostalgic to me cause it was so lively, how come they closed it?

    Bera and Reboot are both quite active.

    They closed the FM for two reasons.
    1) We got auction house and it makes no sense to have two separate market systems
    2) FM shops were used to dupe

    Judging from your post, you probably haven't played in a long time.

    Europe merged with global so potentially a lot of EU players play in that region.
    I think 1-2 years ago a massive server migration occurred which Scania and Windia were not choosable so everyone picked Bera. This left almost all other servers pretty empty.
    FM was answered by others.
