Mechanic: Full Metal Barrage Glitch

sometimes when I try to use Full Metal Barrage, the skill doesn't activate. I hold down the skill key, the game "skips", and I see the giant mech flash on screen, then nothing.

it doesn't happen all the time, but the cooldown is too long for me to try to replicate the glitch effectively. it seems to happen more often if I try to activate it too fast after using Full Spread.
