Cant log in / Constant crashing

I havn't been on maplestory in forever and that makes me sad; but what makes me even sadder is...
1:
Can't log in. I dont remember my PIN, so i go to reset it. I get an error saying you do not have a game character or password is not set up on this account. If im staring at my account, with my eyes, i have like 10 characters on Chaos. I can't reset my PIN.
2:
It constantly crashes. when its loading, when im trying to get into a server, when im trying to figure out what my PIN is. it crashes. i dont know if theres a fix or what but id like to not make new characters since i have character bound items from events years ago i dont want gone /:
