Spell Trace succes rate

Does your diligence affect sucess rate of spell tracing/star forcing??
Last time when spell trace fever i tried to upgrade my gear with 70% scroll (it should be 95% when spell trace fever) moreover my character have level 100 diligence which should give me+10% success rate of scrolling YET still FAIL at upgrading gear
Does my luck really that terrible?
Or is it something else?

    The diligence bonus, to my knowledge, is multiplicative, rather than additive. Nothing will ever push you up to 100% success chance.

    Never failed any 70% with 100% diligence and guild skill during fever.
    Perhaps you started scrolling at the very end of spell trace fever and didn't noticed it was over.
