I'd like to offer a possible fix to the familiar system:
Familiar Ranks
Dropped familiar ranks should be assigned at random, with the following proposed distributions:
Normal Monsters: 65[C]:25[R]:8[E]:2[ U].
Field Bosses: 25[C]:45[R]:25[E]:5[ U]
Boss monsters: 60[R]:35[E]:5[ U]
Familiar Drop Rates
Familiars should have an accumulated drop rate of:
Normal monsters: 30 per 1000 monsters killed
Field Bosses: 20 per 100 killed.
Boss Monsters: 10 per 100 killed.
Drop rate will be scaled with item% drop rate.
Familiar Collection Slots
Familiars with unrevealed potentials should be stacked together, allowing players to break them down, or reveal one, separating it from the stack.
Red cards
2 Red cards will be distributed through the Fairy Bros system per month, and will be available on reboot servers through the reward point shop, limited to 8 per month at a cost of 2400 reward points.
Badges
Active badge effects will be unlocked by collecting badges - for each 3 badges collected, 1 active slot will be enabled (up to 8, starting at 1)
Badges will be assigned ranks, allowing people to make continuous progress.
The ranks will correspond with the lowest ranked familiar in the badge collection. For example, only after a player has registered all of a badge's familiars with an [E] rank, the badge will rank up, giving the following effects:
Additional collection slots: 1[C], 2[R], 3[E], 5[ U], 8[L]
Increased effects. For example:
Weapon ATT: 1[C], 2[R], 3[E], 6[ U], 10[L]
Ignore Enemy DEF: 2%[C], 4%[R], 6%[E], 10%[ U],15%[L]
Similar effects will stack up to those of 2 Legendary ranks (similar to the 5th job matrix).
Unrelated new inner ability proposal: Skill attack count increased by 1 chance: 20-30%[R], 31%-40%[E],41%-50%[ U],51%-60%[L].
