Character name change?

Hello! I apologize in advance if this is the wrong place for this queston. I saw on one of the closed, sticky threads over here about the character name change coupons. However, I don't see them in the cash shop. Are they coming back soon or anything? Any information would be appreciated. :)

    Have they actually been sold since the whole "clearing up inactive accounts" thing when we had the last name change event?

    I suspect they will be back soon since it will coincide with the EMS merge.

    Doesn't matter whether or not I want them to come back. They used to be in the cash shop, they were taken out. Eight years later we finally get a chance to rename characters. If they didn't, even once, put them up for sale in those intervening years, I don't see them putting them back up for regular sale.

    That and the last time they allowed us to change names, it was one per account and after they freed up all names of accounts that were inactive for a bit over three-and-a-half years.

    8 years? I don't think it was that long buddy, I remember having a coupon in 2013. If memory serves me right, they were only removed from permanent sale that long ago because it caused server stability issues (like the world transfer coupon) and added extra hours into server checks.

    the name changes and world changes got removed around 2012ish along with the mts.
