Hiezan Temple quest chain bugged

During the heizan temple quest chain, on my run with kanna, I am unable to pickup the cloth bag for the boy in the very first quest. Thus I am stuck on the quest line

    That quest line is so broken ;_;
    I try to play that as Hayato and the game is just kicking me out after couple of minutes
