Goo-pons staying in Etc inventory after quest.

Bug type: Event Quest Problem
Brief bug summary:
After collecting one of each Goo-pon and clearing the quest to claim the Black Giga-Goo Mount, Goo-pons are not removed from the Etc inventory.
Is there some other use for them that I'm not aware of? Can they just be thrown away?
