Maple Points Gigatoad

Apologize if this way mentioned already. I was basically told yesterday to get maple points from the Gigatoad quest, players have to kill Gigatoad and not Frenzied Gigatoad, am I right on this? I thought this was a bug and told support but they said it's not a bug. If this isn't one, shouldn't Frenzied Gigatoad cumulate with Gigatoad? It hurts QOL by forcing me to stay in the dungeon longer and sacrificing time on other duties. I'm considering not even bothering doing the dungeon. Since finding this out, I'm thinking of just going for the Intense crystals and the Golden Toad Sculptures.
