Dmg on legion -coins?

Does the dps/range/stats or something else that’s the Legion characters have effects the coins gains for the legion dragon? Or effect something else?
I don’t talk about the legion rank or lvl, just the dmg that the character have

    The character's damage has no effect on the legion coins it generates.
    Only its level and its total star force matter.
