Been a casual observer of Maplestory for literal YEARS now; I keep coming back to it and looking at updates because of how much I feel I'd enjoy it, but I never get far because I can't physically use keyboards for too long. I know third party options like Xpadder and whatnot are a workaround, but I'd feel far more comfortable with setups that were innately designed and approved by the devs themselves.

Plus with the launch of the Steam Deck, perhaps this would be the perfect time to flesh out and fully update the in-game joypad support to something that could actually make it a viable option and broadening the avenues from which old players can access the game while opening the possibilities for newer players as well!

    same problem with mine. You can try this joytokey (https://www.mediafire.com/file/0hk95tejgp4drh3/JoyToKey_en.zip/file) I play xbox and with this i can use fully functional like i use with keyboard

    As someone who has played with a controller for years, no thanks.
    Nexon will never be able to match the customization of dedicated controller software.
    Unless Nexon put serious effort into it and allowed it to be turned off completely for those who do not wish to use Nexon's crappy controller support, it would be better if they just remove the half-ass solution they have now and call it a day.
