Xenon is in desperate need at the very least a revamp with reworks to some skills (most of 5th job honestly) and just a bunch of smaller improvements and adjustments across the entire kit. Unique and fun overall, but needs some work done to really get Xenon to a good spot.
To begin, I would simplify skill selection down to 2 options for each choice from 3 options, and implement the current 3rd option to one or both of the two options.
As well as shift skills around to other job advancements.
Job 0:
Liberty Boosters increase the movement speed on this so that it always moves at the fastest speed. This skill is in desperate need for a movement speed increase!
1st Job:
I would take Beam Spline and combine with Quicksilver: Flash and Quicksilver: Concentrate and make it one really cool whipping animation with a net much larger hitbox as a result for better mobbing.
This skill would be enhanced in damage further passively with 2nd Job.
Altogether, these skills will no longer be MODE skills and just be one attacking skill.
2nd Job:
I would take Quicksilver: Takeoff and move Combat Switch: Fission down to 2nd Job as a duo-MODE skills and the player can see which they like more from 2nd Job since these two skills function very similar to each other while offering vertical mobility.
Ion Thrust could be turned into something really cool where it becomes a toggle skill.
You will move a lot faster while on it than its current movement speed, while active will drain energy every so often, and does basically the same thing as it currently does besides the fact that you can now use attacks while riding it.
3rd Job:
Combat Switch: Explosion is just removed entirely, this skill is not redeemable.
Combat Switch: Air Whip is no longer a MODE skill and becomes implemented into Beam Spline by 3rd Job in some way to further enhance Beam Spline damage for 3rd job and give the skill better visuals as well.
Diagonal Chase reduce the action delay on this by a lot and allow it to be used downwards diagonally for a lot better movement for Xenon, this would help out a lot, especially for smoother mobbing gameplay.
UPDATED (August 4, 2024): (Diagonal Chase can be used during Ion Thrust as well to offer vertical mobility while riding it.)
Gravity Pillar rework this skill into a passive "attack" where when you are riding Ion Thrust and holding the jump key while in the air, you will begin gliding slowly towards the ground while shooting out a continuous gravity damaging zone below the vehicle and stunning struck enemies for 2 seconds, where the same enemy cannot be stunned again for 15 seconds (includes boss monsters, offering Xenon a little bit of cool bossing utility).
4th Job:
Beam Dance remove the action delay outright for a lot smoother gameplay, speed up the movement to be full movement always and the hyper passive for this skill will make you move even faster, and make the skill hit in a wider area because it is a little too short - especially for modern MapleStory.
Hypogram Fields the green and purple holograms will be the only two options and the red hologram will be reworked and implemented into the green and purple holograms.
Hypogram Field: Force Field while party members and self are inside of the area, gain 5% HP shield whenever the ball hits the walls of the barrier for 5 seconds, up to 50% HP shield.
Hypogram Field: Penetrate whenever the ball hits an enemy it applies a debuff for up to 30 seconds, when a party member hits a target with a debuff they ignore 40% of the target's defense and restores +1 Energy Surplus for Xenon.
[The two Hypogram Fields still deal damage like they currently do.]
Mecha Purge: Bombard is no longer a MODE skill, but Snipe and Bombardment are still a MODE skill shared with each other.
Mecha Purge: Bombard turns into a passive that enhances Ion Thrust further and changes the visuals where Xenon now rides the tank while active and fires its laser cannon attack every second.
Temporal Pod this skill needs a rework. One idea is that Xenon sits in the pod making self and party members invincible during this process, Xenon cannot move or attack while sitting in the pod, cast the skill again to leave the pod early. Can sit in the pod for up to 10 seconds, 120 seconds cooldown.
5th Job:
Completely rework Omega Blaster (except keep the fire big powerful laser aspect about it), Core Overload (except keep the overcharging aspect about it), and Photon Ray (the firing off a bunch of missiles that go everywhere is cool, emphasize this aspect more and better).
Hypogram Field: Fusion this skill is fantastic, keep it as is! The only improvement to this is skill is please allow Hypogram Fields: Force Field / Penetrate be able to overlap with this skill!
