While both were introduced with the goal of reducing the power gap from legacy items, the way we implemented the Shackles of Resentment did not align with your expectations. We should have ensured that we had a deep understanding of player and community sentiments before approaching legacy items. However, our process of prior communications, feedback collection, and understanding overall sentiment was inadequate.

It seems like the player has to read between the lines since you seem unable to outright tell us what is going on in more detail. You compare the implementation of Shackles of Resentment to Chains of Resentment, with the stated goal of "reducing the power gap from legacy items" - Are we to infer that the permanent return of Frenzy Totem and Pottable Badge are completely off the table? Can you at least just say it?

"We should have ensured that we had a deep understanding of player and community sentiments before approaching legacy items" - Its been over 6 years since pottable badges were discontinued and players have been voicing their concerns over this matter for over 6 years. If you claim to not have a "deep understanding" of the community sentiment after this long, then i can't help but conclude that you are being disingenuous (by acting like you don't know what players want) or simply incompetent (by legitimately not understanding after this long what players want). Which is it?

"our process of prior communications, feedback collection, and understanding overall sentiment was inadequate." What happens to posts made on the official forums, the suggestions made on the official discord? What do Community Managers do with all the feedback received over the years? Who at "Team GMS" is actually responsible for collecting feedback? Its sort of pathetic to be using this excuse this late in the life of GMS. Seriously, you named the item "Shackles of Resentment" - It seems pretty obvious that "Team GMS" knows what its doing, but just wants to lead the playerbase to believe that "its trying"
