In this concept the main focus points are:
1. Keep to the core playstyle and core concept of Phantom. His movement options and stealing aspect is crucial.
2. Streamline and improve upon how he moves and how his stealing works so that every player can have the same maximum enjoyment without feeling they got unlucky because they couldn't find the class with the skill they wanted.
3. Further expand upon Phantom's stealing that makes it less restrictive and even more customizable for each player's personal playstyle.
In this, the focus in attacks will be "stolen" skills with Mille Aiguilles being the only attacking skill (other than movement skills that can attack) and is given upon reaching 1st job that upgrades with every advancement, until it reaches its 4th job state, and only the hurricane form as the stolen skills should supplement well for players looking for that bursty attack playstyle.
Tempest will be remade to be a customizable skill where you combine it with any stolen skill, modifying it with a secondary effect based on the properties of the stolen skill, including allowing Tempest to rapidly heal yourself and struck party members if you combined it with Bishop's Heal! Tempest will still be used in the same way no matter where which is as the key down tornado skill where you can move around at full speed, with the addition of being able to jump (not flash jump however) during it as well.
Last broad aspect to note is that the stolen skills are always available with the restrictions completely removed, but there is a penalty for greed.
~ There will be a new window that opens up when you use the new Loadout skill that is an organized list of the 15 explorer jobs and the skills available that you can use, the amount of skills that you can use expands as you upgrade your job advancement and acquire a key hyper skill, including the ability to use heavily modified stolen 5th job skills as a new core 5th job skill.
~ All of the stolen skills, by default, will be reduced to 50% of the power of the original skill. There is no limit to how many skills you can use anymore, but there is a cost for greed.
- If there is a cooldown, the cooldown is the same as the original skill. If there is no cooldown, then there is no longer any cooldown for that stolen skill.
~ To use a stolen skill, you must first activate the skill by clicking a switch by the skill, then you can assign the skill to your keyboard like every other skill and use it the same way like you are actually playing that class.
~ If there are 5 or less skills activated in total, then there is no penalty. If you have more than 5 skills activated, then the potency of all stolen skills are reduced by an additive -5%, down to a minimum of 20% potency, for every additional skill activated above 5. So there are multiple choices for the player, stick with 5 or less stolen skills for the highest potency, go a little big above 5 stolen skills, or just activate everything and have very weak skills?
~ New Skill Swipe will be remade and renamed to Gem Swipe. This will be used the same way, but instead of stealing a job's skill, you instead steal [Job's Name] Gem.
You can have a maximum of 1 gem per job (i.e. only one Bishop gem, but you can have Fire/Poison Mage, Ice/Lightning Mage, and Bishop gems all at the same time if you chose to do so) and a maximum total of 5 gems. If you want to swap a gem out for a new one, you must first discard a gem to not be at maximum hold limit and then go find the job that you want to steal their gem from.
~ A gem of that job will allow you to assign the gem to a skill of that job to double its current potency. At base, you can double 1 skill from that job to 100% to be at the identical power of the original job for that boosted skill! This is a doubling effect, so if the skill was at 20% potency and you double it, then it will be doubled to 40% potency.
NOTE: Only key skills will be mentioned. Stat passives and other skills like returning to Phantom's home area will not be mentioned below.
Job 0:
Shroud Walk:
Remake:
Active: Teleport a set distance in one-of-four directions and enter Dark Sight for up to 3 seconds.
Cooldown: Removed.

New Skill:
Toggle: While active, increase the teleportation distance of Shroud Walk.
Gem Swipe:
Renamed from Skill Swipe:
Rework:

This skill cannot be used if you currently possess 5 gems.
Loadout:
Remake:
Active: Open up a special window that allows you to see, activate, and use certain skills from explorer jobs.
Job 1:
Mille Aiguilles:

Remake:
Passive: Expands the list of available explorer skills that you can use.
NOTE: "Double Entendre" is deleted.
Job 2:
Mille Aiguilles II:
Passive: Increases the damage and max monster hit count.
Impeccable Memory II:

"Mille Cartes" is deleted.

Job 3:

Passive: Increases the damage and max monster hit count.
Impeccable Memory III:
Remake:
Passive: Further expands the list of available explorer skills that you can use.
NOTE: "Blason" is deleted.
"Rapier Wit" is deleted.
Phantom does not need a rush skill, especially with an updated Shroud Walk that works like a normal teleport (with dark sight) for snappier movement without needing to be in the mode first to then teleport and that by default has reduced range and a toggle to make the range extended to give the player the option to have short distance instant movement or longer distance instant movement. Meaning, a rush skill will never be used and is pointless.
Job 4:
Mille Aiguilles IV:
Passive: Increases the damage, max monster hit count, range, and new visuals into its 4th job variation.
Impeccable Memory IV:
Remake:
Passive: Further expands the list of available explorer skills that you can use.

Tempest Enhancement:

Only 4th job and below skills can be assigned.
Some Examples:
Bishop's Heal makes Tempest heal self and party members for 5% HP per attack cycle.
Bishop's Holy Magic Shell grants self and party members 15% Damage Reduction, including % HP attacks, while being struck by Tempest.
Bishop's Holy Symbol increases the exp by monsters killed by Tempest by +50%.
Ice/Lightning Mage's Chain Lightning causes lightning to chain out to nearby monsters at a greater range around Tempest.
Cannon Master's Cannon Bazooka causes alternating cannon blasts between right and left sides of Tempest.
Hero's Rage grants bonus weapon and magic attack to self and party members that are struck by Tempest.
Vol D'Ame:

Cooldown: 15 seconds.
3: Heroic Memories:
Gain +10% Damage for 60 seconds.
Applies to any Hero class in the party.
This is going to be more of a 5th job remake to blend the 5th job into the theme of superior thief that steals. And to make the skills more kit cohesive and less random feeling.
Job 5:
1: Luck of the Draw:
Remake:
Active: Phantom buffs himself for 10 seconds, causing Mille Aiguilles and Tempest to throw out cards to nearby monsters.
For the next 30 seconds, self and party members receive a random buff:
Priest: Restore 10% HP and 2% MP every second.
Tree of Life: 10% Damage Reduction, including % HP attacks, and 50 Abnormal Status Resistance.
Hourglass: 35% Cooldown Reduction.
Three Swords: 10% Final Damage.
Luck of the Draw: All of the buffs at the same time.
Cooldown: 120 seconds.
2: Ace in the Hole:
Full Remake:
Active: Increase the potency of all stolen skills by 100% for the next 30 seconds.
Cooldown: 120 seconds.
3: Phantom's Mark:
Full Remake:
Passive: Mille Aiguilles and Tempest apply a mark on struck monsters for up to 15 seconds, stacking up to 30 times [stack amount is based on skill rank].
For every 1 stack there is will increase the Final Damage of your stolen skills by 1% against marked monsters.
Active: Teleport behind the furthest monster within range and become invincible for 2 seconds.
Cooldown: 30 seconds.
4: Impeccable Memory V:
"Rift Break" is deleted.
New Skill:
Passive: Further expands the list of available explorer skills that you can use.
Stolen 5th Job skills cannot be enhanced by Ace in the Hole or by a gem.
Some Examples of Available 5th Job Skills for Phantom:
Bishop's Benediction. Stolen Benediction scales with LUCK instead of INT at the same scaling rate before factoring in potency reduction (it takes twice as much LUCK to get to the same final damage bonus as Bishop's INT would create at base, and the base and max values are halved at base as well compared to the real thing).
Buccaneer's Lord of the Deep.
Cannoneer's Cannon of Mass Destruction.
NOTE: There will only be a total of 15 5th job skills for Phantom to use, 1 skill per Explorer job.
5th job skills being immune to potency increase is so that the real job always has the superior version of that skill since Phantom can use multiple key 5th job skills from explorers in this case, it is a trade off.
Plus, since 5th job skills are more potent, everyone would use their stolen gems on the 5th job skills.
