This is going to be more of a concept remake of Battle Mage's support skills that leans into Battle Mage's inventor and device construction concept further by turning the auras into visible auras based on devices you place down completely surrounding the devices.

This will have a make your own support type of playstyle where you can place up to 4 aura devices in play at one time meaning you can have an equal balance of 4 auras active together or if you wanted to stack all of the same auras together, and depending on the aura, will either have that effect much stronger or for the purpose of creating a large area of effect by spreading the devices out.

Aura Scythe will still be the same thing where you get all 4 aura effects around Battle Mage at the same time while active, but given a special visible multi-coloured aura effect.

The other part to this is having the support skills / auras feel a lot more noticeable and impactful to feel way more satisfying.
Really turning Battle Mage more into an enchanter-protector to alter how the game is played and keeping his party alive!


JOB 1:

Aura Device Limiter: NEW SKILL: Mastery Level 1
Passive: Battle Mage can create up to 4 Aura Devices to be in play at one time. Creating a 5th Aura Device will destroy the oldest Aura Device.

Aura Devices can be placed in the air.

NOTE: This would entirely just be a tooltip explanation skill. It has no purpose otherwise.

Time Aura: [Yellow Aura] RENAMED from Hasty Aura / REMAKE:
Create a device for 300 seconds that emits a Time Aura around it, causing monsters near it to have all movement slowed by 20%, up to 99% with multiple Time Auras affecting the same monster.

Self and party members move 40% faster and have their actions delays reduced by 5% while inside of the Time Aura, moving up to 200% faster and reducing their action delays up to 25% when being affected by multiple Time Auras. This movement speed increase ignores the speed limit.

Passive: Battle Mage gains +40 Speed, +20 Max Speed, +20 Jump, +3 Attack Speed, +15% Avoidability, +80 Horizontal Teleport Range, and +40 Vertical Teleport Range.

NOTE: Battle Mage passively gains all of the effects of the old aura and passive combined as a passive. This will apply to the other auras as well.

Though, the teleport range increase should be increased to the teleport mastery toggle rather than be a part of the passive.


JOB 2:

Dark Chain: MODIFIED:
Additional Effect: Applies a debuff on struck monsters to reduce All Elemental Resistance except for Dark by -5% and Dark Elemental Resistance by -10% for 30 seconds.

Healing Aura: [Red Aura] RENAMED from Draining Aura / REWORK:
Create a device for 300 seconds that emits a Healing Aura around it, healing self and party members inside to be healed for 10% HP every 1 second.

Passive: Battle Mage heals 1,000 + 10% HP every 4 seconds.

JOB 3:

Blue Aura: [Blue Aura] REWORK:
Create a device for 300 seconds that emits a Blue Aura around it, granting 10% damage reduction, including % HP attacks, to self and party members inside, up to 50% when being affected by multiple Blue Auras.

Passive: Battle Mage gains Abnormal Status Resistance: +50, Elemental Resistance: +30%, DEF: +150%, and Damage Taken: -40%.

JOB 4:

Light and Dark Aura: [White and Purple Aura] RENAMED from Dark Aura / REMAKE:
Create a device for 300 seconds that emits either a Light Aura or a Dark Aura at intervals.

Self and party members inside of a Light Aura receive 20% Increased Healing from Potions and Skills and healing ignores 20% of anti-healing effects, up to 100% when being affected by multiple Light Auras.

Self and party members side of a Dark Aura receive -10% Decreased Healing from Potions and Skills, takes +2% more damage, and deal 5% increased Final Damage, up to -50% Decreased Healing from Potions and Skills, take +10% more damage, and deal 25% increased Final Damage when being affected by multiple Dark Auras.

Passive: Battle Mage gains 15% Magic Attack and 10% Damage.

NOTE: This is to make Battle Mage feel like a Black Mage origin story with White Curse and Black Curse as an aura that changes on intervals, and by making a damage giving party buff less reliable helps balance it out.

Distortion Aura: [Pink Aura] RENAMED from Weakening Aura / REMAKE:
Create a device for 300 seconds that emits a Distortion Aura around it, causing self and party members within to have 15% reduced gravity, up to 75% reduced gravity when being affected by multiple Distortion Auras.

Reduced gravity allows the character to jump higher and fall down slower.

Hold the down arrow key to instantly stop ascending from a jump and to fall down at normal gravity speed.

Monster projectiles and attacks move 10% slower while inside of a Distortion Aura, up to 50% slower when being affected by multiple Distortion Auras.

Passive: Battle Mage gains 20% Ignore Enemy Defense.

Party Shield: REWORK:
Create a protective zone for 6 seconds, causing self and party members inside to be invincible and immune to abnormal status effects.

Cooldown: 120 seconds.

HYPER SKILLS:

PASSIVES:

1. Party Shield - Cooldown Cutter: Party Shield's cooldown is reduced by 25%. [90 seconds cooldown]
2. Party Shield - Persist: Party Shield lasts +3 seconds longer. [9 seconds duration]
3. Party Shield - Enlarge: Party Shield is 30% larger in size.

4. Blue Aura - Dispel Magic: Each device cleanses abnormal status effects for party members inside every 3 seconds.

5. Distortion Aura - Enlarge: Distortion Aura's size is 100% larger.

JOB 5:

Aura Scythe: [Multi-Coloured Aura] MODIFIED:
New Effect: The aura is now a visible and large multi-coloured aura around Battle Mage, being clear for when party members are or are not being affected by the aura.
Clarification Effect: Aura Scythe will perform 1x of the effects of Time Aura, Healing Aura, Blue Aura, Light Aura, Dark Aura, and Distortion Aura all at the same time while active.
