Hello everyone,
An og returns to the world of maple with much to say let the feedback begin! It's interesting to see how much has changed & yet how much is still the same. I give it all to hope there is improvement & makes the game more fun to keep it alive & reasonable so there is a reason to still play.
1. What Happened To All The Different Color Armors?
I noticed a lot of end game gear comes only in one color & me personally I hate this favoritism towards blue gear. Playing as a Lara every mage gear I have seen since coming back what I been picking up & getting from seasons. Why is everything blue I hate blue where are the other colors why is there no other colors?
This game is about style & even with regular gear they should have color style. OGMS alot of gear had multiple colors I want the root abyss gear in red, gold, dark purple, & every other color. Add colors to every single piece of gear bring colors back! Or a dye system something to pick up & bring to a menu use on gear & change colors.
2. Kill the jump quests!
I see we still got pink flower & shumis coin jump quests. I hated those back in the day. After completing them once I will never complete those quests again they are such time wasters & the reward is not worth it at all. Just remove those quests those maps & just give the exp for doing something else. As for other jump quests like in the Masteria story & other places some were not so crazy & others are somewhat irritant just get rid of them.
3. Revamped Bosses
I prefer the old papulatus & zakum boss fights this new zakum looks tiny in his new map compared to the old one & I see on chaos it's made to be like bouncy bouncy dodge the hands making these jump dodge intermissions in the boss fight is just irritating we already got tons of hp to knock down for hours with group. New pap not a fan of all the stage mechanics & the time stream crossing ghostbusters reference mechanic.
4. Auction House
I see we closed FM & turned it into this well for starters when entering the auction house the game forces itself to screen resolution change forcing it to be a certain size & be stuck to the left side of my screen making me unable to full screen the auction house the game goes back to normal when I leave it. The auction house should automatically unlist items that have expired on their duration. I find it very annoying to see hundreds of thousands of items with expired durations still listed & I have to shift through that.
The auction house should be renamed to market house. Why you may ask because 1 an auction requires bidding & you are not doing that you are listing your price & it's take it or leave it that's a market. An auction theres a starting price & people bid up on it to the highest bidder how odd Nexon don't know this to make such a grammatical mistake.
A counter offer option needs to be added some people just price things so outrageously high because they know they got it & are the only one who keeps refreshing it's duration of listing in the market.
A counter offer allows the buyer to make their offer & the seller has to choose to accept or decline. They get a notification click it it opens market house & they accept or decline. If they decline they can add msg to let seller know too high or a different price.
5. Events
A lot of people quit & return it would be nice to recirculate some old events give people opportunities again to earn some of those exclusives like the maple red, maple items from all generations, & other exclusives I don't know about. Please keep all Maplestory events within maplestory it's unfair also unethical when something in maplestory is tied to something outside of it.
6. Discord
Please keep all advertisements of discord outside of the game. Discord is spyware a plague on the internet that has wormed it's way into almost every corner. There is a big % of people who are raised & taught to never use spyware technologies maybe you are one of them who had parents that told you applications which try to extract information about you is invasive, intrusive, unethical, & dangerous with warning to avoid those things. Stop tying events, item exclusives, & other rewards to a requirement of having to join a spyware platform, be bound by spyware third party terms of services & privacy policies in order to get something in maplestory.
I appreciate this forum because it's owned by Nexon & hosted by Nexon my tos is to Nexon not discord when I play maplestory & engage in maplestory feedback. Companies that only use discord for support, feedback, & all other community related things those corps that choose not to host their own platforms for their communities just prove they are bad & should be avoided at all cost.
There's a good % of people who read every tos & pp just as much as there is a handful of people who blindly accept everything without understanding what they agreed to just in order for them to be there so they can say hey i'm here! You can please everyone by having no events related to discord. Which brings me to the question I always ask every company & only an official represensative can answer why did you make the discord & not others?
Is it because it came out in 2015 & commerical advertising? It doesn't matter where people are when your the provider of something they come to you about it. Why the favortism & don't tell me there isn't because there is & if there wasn't the company would have an official community on Element/Matrix, Guilded, Slack, Simplex, ArcaneChat, & other chat applications. If you give me the it's too much to join everyone then I circle back to okay so why discord you have a forums which is more then good enough for everything!
7. Social Networks
I know we let out status updates & reach out through other platforms including some event or redeem code exclusives. Could you push all of that into forums because twitter/x, instagram, facebook, & reddit are all old also spyware platforms. I never used them ever & have no reason to ever look there. Mostly the same questions I would ask about discord also apply here. Why not reach out to people on newer platforms that are less invasive like Mastodon, Lemmy, & Nostr? If same answers as above again I say push all of that into this forum making it an incentive to check this forum every week for something important.
8. Help Lara!
Lara seems like a good class however these AoE attacks being her main source of DPS is counter intuitive in boss fights vs mobs. When fighting bosses these AoE overlap all skills so if the boss drops an AoE or is charging up an attack inside my AoE I cannot see it! Half the time I am killing myself because I cannot see because of my own attacks this also applies to any other character that uses area of effects mainly for dps. There needs to be a way to make these skills 90% transparent so I can see the boss & any effects they drop anywhere otherwise this class does not have a fair chance & requires you to use your one line attack & cooldown skills which is not enough DPS.
9. Professions
I don't see the reason in crafting any of the lvl 40 gear most of the recipes are somewhat useless. Perhaps revamp all that craftable gear to be somewhat upgradable so it can be like an optical illusion effect. What I mean is okay you craft it it says lvl req 40 but you upgraded it with materials specifically for this revamp & then that lvl 40 gear is equal to a level 140 gear. Remove the arrow button combination to harvest while in the farms every 2 I farm I gotta hit the combo again like why this excessive redundency? Just let me hit my harvest button as I stand over the resource & thats it!
10. Increase Meso Drop Rate!
Looks like the 2Bil cap has been removed yet at 220 picking up mesos still feels low & slow. Can we up the meso pick up rate why is it still so low after all these years? Are we trying to give incentive of encouragement to RMTers to keep going to those sites to buy 2bil mesos for $10 bucks from one of their bot farmers? I noticed Nexon added their own way of buying mesos for Maple points which even at the ratio for that is crazy! Please increase the drop rates!
11. Bring Store Merchants Back!
Keep the market house just bring back store merchants & allow usage of them anywhere! It was a unique experience to have to walk around free market & check player shops with items. I liked it was it time wasting sure but then again everythings a waste of time but the functionality was cool. So being this is a big world & were always travelling why don't we have the capability to setup our own shop anywhere? I've always wondered that since the beginning having that would not only give more reason to play & interact around the world but it also generates money for nexon.
People will buy more megaphones to shout store sales at specific maps creating more revenue & generating interaction plus encouraging users to explore the world more! Imagine having top gear for top dollar & shouting your selling it at hidden street map name here. People are coming to get it first come first serve. You have to explore maple abit those who want it will go to get it. Perhaps store merchsnts charge a meso fee to stay up while you adventure around the world & continue your training.
Like 100,000 mesos a day to keep the merchant up in a map. You hit a key button or by choice interact with your own store merchant & you can deposit your mesos in there like you do the storage keeper for the merchant to hold. That way they consume the mesos they hold in order to stay up in that map.
12. Cash Shop!
There needs to be some permanent nx for rewards points. I find it silly to use those rewards for 30 day transparency nx. Theres thousands of nx items with flair surely you can throw us a bone here the free players by giving just a few permanent nx items for rewards points. Everything else for rewards is kinda nice. I know permanent pets are given away at some events but how often do those events come around?
13. Pets Fix Follow PLEASE!
Can we just remove the whole code for your pet lost sight of you so it went home? Seriously it's tedious & annoying my snail is standing right next to me yet I see lost sight of you. This is just old & needs that touch of love a pet can stay with you forever they don't need this sight=none then disappear to inventory. Please fix this it's so annoying!
14. Familiars
i see they have been revamped completely. I am not a fan of the summon points duration limit there is no point to it except to limit the usage of passive effects. They don't add that much benefit so why this limit I preferred when the summons out till they die or you unsummon them lets get back to that. Increase the drop rates especially on bosses.
15. Character Transferrable NX
I have some permanent NX I bought for my Hero years ago in the old days which now that i've returned & see cooler classes I want to use those permanent nx items I paid for on my other characters but I cannot! Please make all permanent nx transferrable to other characters on your account through the cash shop. Make like a shared cash inventory space to transfer the items. I want to use my weapon & cape cash items on other characters.
I will add more suggestions as I have a lot more to say give the chance for readers to digest this & look down further for more feedback. Also if any of my suggestions are taken into consideration & an item is created like a cash shop nx please credit me & compensate me a permanent version for all my characters.
