Check out the v.268 - Maple University: 21st Anniversary patch notes
here!
Common thing I am hearing is that people kind of wanted Erel to be this warrior job that summons an army of shining soldier to do his bidding for him pretty much, making Erel feel more like the role of an army commander!
The ideas would be this, which would also boost engagement when playing as Erel as well and make him overall more fun and interesting to play as.
The two skills that summon the soldiers are changed to the following (I don't remember their skill names):
Skill One:
Instead of having a 10 seconds cooldown and does not work with CD Skip.
~ Is now affected by Chance to Skip Cooldown.
~ Cooldown is lowered to 4 seconds.
~ Soldier now lasts for the entire duration, seeking out and attacking monsters near it.
~ Soldier is not unique allowing for multiple to be in play at one time.
~ Soldier duration is increased to 12 seconds (can be extended with Summon Duration).
Skill Two:
Instead of having a 10 seconds cooldown and does not work with CD Skip.
~ Is now affected by Chance to Skip Cooldown.
~ Cooldown is increased to 14 seconds.
~ Soldier now lasts for the entire duration, seeking out and attacking monsters near it, prioritizing the highest HP monster.
~ Soldier is bigger and stronger, and is unique so only one of the big soldier can be in play at one time.
~ Soldier duration is lowered to 5 seconds (can be extended with Summon Duration).
These changes is to make Erel more engaging to play as and make him more dynamic with desync cooldowns between the two skills, but also feel like he is less of a one button job with a very short 4 seconds cooldown on the weaker soldier summon skill.
And makes him more enjoyable to play as with constant use of the shorter CD skill to weave with Spear of Lugh and the fun of the CD Skip stat being enabled to try to summon a massive army of shining soldiers with some good luck!
And then the second skill feels more satisfying with less frequent use that summons a bigger and more powerful soldier, the goliath of the shine soldiers, to reign down destruction upon all of monster kind!
- The value of CD Skip here is for more uptime of the bigger solider rather than a large army of them to keep him powerful. It also increases player engagement with not wanting to spam this skill just because it got affected by CD Skip in the moment for that dynamic gameplay.
Really breaking up the difference of the two skills rather than the current Erel of both skills being identical to each other.
