I have been playing Maple Story for nearly 20 years and thoroughly enjoy the game. But there are times when I feel like a new player with questions I can not resolve. In the past, the community has been very helpful for which I express my thanks. So, over time, I will be posting questions about the play of the game, some of which my seem utterly basic. But ...

My first question has to do with Sol Erda. To progress at the upper levels of the game, Sol Erda is an absolute requirement to boost my character's capabilities. I notice that when we have an ability to increase it one of the things is to increase the Sol Erda dropped by bosses. Yet I have never seen any Sol Erda dropped by any bosses in Cernium and above. I am missing something? Or is what happens is an increased probability to see Sol Erda dropped once a boss has been defeated?
