Dutch Players Need Access to the MapleStory Econom
Hello everyone,
I want to raise an issue that I believe deserves more attention before Classic World moves forward: the restrictions that prevent players in the Netherlands from trading.
MapleStory has always been about more than grinding monsters. Finding valuable drops, selling scrolls, saving mesos, upgrading equipment, and participating in the player-driven market are all part of the progression system.
Without trading, that entire loop breaks down. Grinding alone often doesn't generate enough mesos to cover the potions needed to keep training, leaving players with valuable items they cannot sell and fewer ways to sustain their progress. For Dutch players, this makes progression unnecessarily difficult and fundamentally changes how the game is meant to be played.
I understand that these restrictions were introduced because of concerns surrounding Dutch gambling regulations. However, completely disabling the economy seems like an excessive solution when more targeted alternatives could be explored.
Could Nexon consider allowing regular items, equipment, and scrolls to be traded while keeping restrictions on items that may create regulatory concerns?
I'm not asking for special treatment. I'm asking for a solution that allows Dutch players to experience the same core mechanics as everyone else without compromising legal requirements.
What is the point of bringing back Classic MapleStory if an essential part of its economy remains inaccessible to some players?
I'd appreciate hearing other players' thoughts, and I hope Nexon will reconsider these restrictions.
