June 22nd was a significant date; not only was the Heroes of Maple patch added into gms, but it was also the day they broke Kannas. No, I'm not talking about Kishin, or the double binds (which both deserve separate topics on their own), but rather of the most important issue: Vanquisher's Charm.
Ever since the Heroes of Maple patch, Vanquisher's Charm has been doing less damage. This is an extreme predicament for anyone who mains Kanna, as Vanquisher's Charm is our rapid fire, our hurricane. It's our main source of damage at bosses, which is where damage most matters. And it wasn't a negligible drop in damage, either; there is a
post from the subreddit detailing how one Kanna went from doing 35-40 mil lines vs hellux to 25-30 mils. That's a complete loss of 10 mil of damage for no reason, and versus hellux, no less. I myself went from doing 7-8 mil crits to about 6 mil, which really hurt my motivation as an unfunded player.
Additionally, along with all the game-breaking glitches so generously bestowed upon us Kannas during Heroes of Maple, there was one glitch that came out the same time as vanq's: mana balance suddenly didn't cost hp to restore 30 mana. Two glitches, one beneficial and one hindering, were released at the same time. Guess which one was fixed first, as swiftly as possible? I understand that certain glitches may be easier to fix than others, which could have explained why the mana balance glitch was fixed almost immediately afterwards; however, there is absolutely no excuse to say that now when it has been over 3 months since this has all happened, with no fix for Vanquisher's Charm in sight.
This weekly maintenance is the 14th in a row that has not attempted to address this problem, or even acknowledge it. The
Known and Fixed Issues has remained silent on the matter as well. Please, give Kannas a voice; so many things have been taken from them already. Let us boss properly again, and let us stop wondering how long this will be fixed. Thank you.
