I looked in today and I saw this new quest ''haste'' and bunch of new NX items. Where can I read about the new stuff added into the game today?

There was no maintenance. The events that have appeared were implemented during the Strange Stories patch but simply hadn't appeared until the right date. You can read about it here under Hunt Acceleration Haste Event:
