Crashing Problems

(I just started btw)
Everything goes smoothly, just like how it's supposed to if I'm not mistaken, until the part where it asks you to join the North American server or the European server. When i click on either servers, the game ends up crashing, telling me that the game could not be played by either; server was down for maintenence, my IP was banned, or i have connection issues.

Honestly I have no idea which one it is. Help?

    I have the same problem but for me when it tells me to pick a region i click North America or Europe and the game freezes and crashes and tells me that Maplestory stopped working please i actually want to play so badly and i've been playing ms for about 6-7 years now and i stopped playing for like 1 year and i come back and notice that this problem isnt letting me play ms at all
