Cannot re-use old character name for 30 days?

I was planning on renaming my alternate character on Windia to another name and then changing to that name on my main in Reboot. Would I have to wait 30 days? Why is this? It could risk more common words/name being taken by someone else if we have to wait a specific amount of time that we might not be able to get on for.

Just want to know if there's a reasoning behind this as it's a huge hassle.

    AFAIK Windia and Reboot are separate, I think you could use the same name for your character in Reboot and Windia without renaming it, unless there is somebody aldready use your name.

    If you meant names are separate in Windia and Reboot, that shouldn't be the case. I've tried using some names I had on other worlds before, Windia included (weird ones that no one else would likely have), and the game said they were taken.

    Otherwise, it would be great if someone knew the answer to the 30-day thing. I'd hate to use the coupon only to find out I have to wait 30 days to re-use my name anywhere. Would be a huge waste.

    Some people were able to reuse a name immediately after changing away from it, others were told they had to wait 30 days. Can someone please clear this up, since communication is clearly bad and we're not being told important information?
