Lagg / GM Police after Dec 15th Patch

Brief bug summary:

Since yesterdays patch on Dec 15th i seem to be lagging alot when attacking mobs. Before i got a few staggers which didnt bother me but now I can barely play due to whatever has happened in the update.
Last night after daily reset (so early hours today) I attempted to do Dimentional Invade PQ 3 out of my 5 runs ended up me having the GM police after lagging hard.
The other 2 runs still lagged, just no GM Police Message.
I've spoke to a few friends who have also confirmed the hudge FPS Drop /Lagg when fighting mobs.

    Update: Its a possibilty that GMPolice message along with the lagg is down to Pet Loot Pickup.
    I never suffered that hard with this before the patch, so why is it suffering 5x worse than before?
