Maplestory crashing through Steam launch.

Recently decided to get back into maple with a couple friends to check the new V content.
I had the game in Nexon Launcher, but I downloaded through Steam for the convenience.

So I go and launch, it loads, I go to the server then channel select. It starts to load me in.
A few seconds afterwards the games crashes and I get the usual error pop-up. I try again, same deal.
I go back to the Nexon Launcher and it works fine. Back to the Steam version and crashes.
I check other worlds/channels via Steam launch and that also triggers a crash. Is there a fix for this? Already done a verify file check.
