Hey everyone! I wanted to kickstart this section of the forums off with a trick for everyone that can save you a lot of time and hassle with Gollux. It mostly applies to non-reboot servers, but will still function in Reboot as well.
Getting to Gollux has been quite easy for a long time since he's accessible through the boss queue system, but getting back to the regular world is really the tedious part for those without hyper teleport rocks since you can't use nearest town scrolls. For a very long time I'd walk back through the maze every time I did Gollux, but I found out there's a free alternative! The Maple Guide system is a life-saver and will let you teleport to a different area, more or less of your choosing, where you can then use a nearest town scroll again.
In my own experience since my character is high level I will always teleport to Haven using the Maple Guide system and then dimensional mirror over to Henesys. Infinitely better than navigating that maze!

No way! You're a goof for not realizing Maple Guide worked sooner Astrum!
I will say this - for many people the Gollux maps are some of the laggiest in the game. For some of my friends it could be the difference between doing Gollux dailies or not. Not only that, but you can't actually navigate through the maze with skill, it's purely RNG.
sometimes i wish we couldn't use the maple guide to teleport, i feel it streamlines the gameplay TOO much.
I agree, there needs to be more time exploring the world - so many maps get ignored now.
well that's not even due to the maple guide, that has to do with use leveling WAY too fast with how much content is intentionally made for low levels.
Well, seeing as how they're coming out with content directed at level 200+ now, and 5th job as well, I feel like this issue won't be as big a deal. Nexon also seems to be updating content I.E Mushroom Shrine.
You can also buy a silent crusade transport ticket to get out of the Gollux area. They're 10 coins each, and if Nexon were to remove the teleports from maple guide one day, it will definitely be useful.

There's exploring - and then there's walking the same boring path every day to do your "dailies". But maybe we should only be allowed to teleport to a place we've been before, so we'd have to walk everywhere at least once.

Pretty good idea actually, haveing to walk to an area once before using the maple guide

There's a nice feature that KMS is adding where if you get the completion stamp for an area, you can teleport back to it whenever you want, regardless of level.
So in the future, that could be a way to get players to do content if they want to port around and they don't have a tele rock
Just use a Mercedes link, it warps you tot he elf town which has a portal to warp to Hen.
That only works with one character if you're doing the dailies on more than one though. Maple guide is a free alternative to everything else which is only going to improve with time, as Chow mentioned before you. Not to mention there's no prerequisites either.
