unable to use decent adv blessing with Beast tamer

I put decent advanced blessing in the V-matrix on my beast, but whenever i try to drag it to a shortcut or click it I get the message ´Switch to the correct animal mode to use this skill´
Did anyone find a solution for this problem or should i report it as a bug?
