Anyone else fed up with these huge lines of damage with 11 digits that read something like 3802943293817? It's really way overkill Nexon... Add to that the fact that most skills now do like 10+ lines of damage and all you see on screen is numbers! How are we supposed to see other heroes, the beautiful artwork, skills, etc!

You could easily shave the last 6 digits off and scale down these damage numbers to something reasonable so we can actually see what's on the screen! And while you're at it trim off some lines of damage! It also makes no sense that a monster say at lvl 100 does 80 dmg to you but you do 10 lines that read 34203942, 4302943290,4 3204392042, 4324092309, 430294203, 214828952, 43821492, 3278238, 34204329021, 2018318204, 403121093190 (you get the idea) to it lol

I remember back in the day when heroes like bandits did more than 5 lines (and this made them so unique!), or you would have to level up to 3rd job+ to see multi-line damage and it made the hard work worth it. Now all the skills do this, c'mon Nexon let's do better!

Turn on "mini-blade effect" if you want to be able to see. This is exactly why we need (Working) Damage unit skins which trim some of the fat.

Games change. People and classes get stronger. Move on.

If you're bothered by big numbers covering the screen that much, set your damage effect to mini blade. This way you can see, and continue living in the past.

Do you really want to keep playing the same game you did 10+ years ago?

I'm not saying I want the same game, but have you seen any other mmo where all you see on the screen are numbers? MS has beautiful skill animations and artwork and that's what should shine, not constant columns of numbers.

Also, the numbers could be scaled down hence removing the need for 11 digits while still achieving the same goal. Idk who's in charge of this and some other things at Nexon but they're making lots of counterintuitive mistakes...

Same goes to the 40 or however many classes, it's excessive, repetitive, and frankly unnecessary. Time spent optimizing old classes (for example lots of skills are useless, why not fix that?), or optimizing other things in the game would improve it much more imho....

    Again: mini blade effects.

I don't know myself why nexon doesn't have abbreviated damage skins, I'll give you that.

And what do you mean "excessive, repetitive, and unnecessary"? Literally every one of the 40+ classes plays differently. People like different playstyles. People also like different aesthetics. And Nexon still regularly balances all of them, including the old classes. Hero and dual blade get buffed essentially every patch.

Like I said: games change. Old Maple is dead. Live with it.

At least in old maple there was more of a party based play style and it wasn't so much grinding on your own kind of game. I miss the days when we would have party quests be worth while. I met alot of nice people that way. If anything they need to bring that back. Anymore having to grind in your own in the same boring maps it gets really really dull.

Join a guild. You'll meet plenty of people. You still probably won't find any grind parties or party quests, but the social aspect is at least still there.
It's just not forced like it used to be, which could be bad or good depending on who you ask.
Not sure why you picked this thread to bump, though.

Idk if ure trolling or not, this game is all about seeing huge numbers, thats why theres progression , if you dont like how the numbers are displayed, there are different ways to show them in settings.

maybe it is a good idea to come with a plan of action that Nexon can use as I think they look at these forums. maybe give a recommendation ;)
