Adblock Plus Not Blocking Twitch Ads

Why does Adblock Plus not block Twitch ads? I expected it to work on Twitch. I don’t know whether this is always the case or I am particularly facing this issue. Any help will be appreciated.

    Last year, Twitch began taking steps to make blocking advertisements impossible. Considering that, I doubt any supposed method would be advisable. What I will suggest in general is switching from Adblock Plus to uBlock Origin. Adblock Plus began an "Acceptable Ads" program, where advertisers can pay to not be blocked. Not something I trust.
