Compensations, Events, and Game Play Feedback

From a Reboot player:

1. Compensation
Compensation during game downtime often feels disconnected from the actual losses players incur. Moreover, the rewards from both downtime compensation and recent event boxes are randomized, which adds unnecessary frustration. The game already relies heavily on RNG for progression, making it challenging to obtain key items. For compensation or rewards, it would be far better experience to allow players to choose the items they need rather than receiving items they may not use.

Specifically for compensation, providing items that directly address missed progress—such as nodes, erda sol or fragments, symbol selectors, or event progress rewards—would better mitigate the setbacks players face when they miss dailies, events, or grinding opportunities. This approach would not disrupt game balance but would significantly improve player satisfaction and reduce frustration during frequent downtime.

Similarly, for the Dark Maplemas Gift Boxes event, allowing players to choose their rewards instead of relying on random outcomes would create a much better experience. This way, players can fully enjoy the events and feel their efforts are rewarded meaningfully.

2. Item Burning Event
The item burning event feels counterintuitive. The requirement to defeat Chaos bosses is impractical for many players without first significantly powering up. This undermines the purpose of the event, which should provide a path to progress without needing prior strength to complete it. This is basically impossible without multiple "lucky" attempts at killing the bosses before it kills you. Not sure what the point of this event is. A more accessible or realistic approach would better align with the intent of helping players advance.

3. Frequent Disconnects and Game Instability
Over the past month, I’ve experienced multiple disconnections during regular gameplay, requiring frequent relogs. My system and internet connection are stable, suggesting these issues are on the game's end. The instability disrupts the overall experience, particularly during peak play hours when downtime already limits opportunities to complete dailies and participate in events.

Providing fair compensation, refining event mechanics, and addressing technical issues would greatly enhance the overall player experience. Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback.

    Disconnection Issues:
    Try to communicate this to the best of your ability within the bug report forum when you suspect something is abnormal and NOT have to do with either your computer and/or internet connection.

    Compensation:
    Nexon should do a better job with not just compensating appropriately if something occurs, but over compensate to ensure happiness for the customer's end. They need to work on customer is king and always come first mindset with stuff like this.

    Event Rewards:
    Besides being meaningful, exciting, and worth going after...

    Event rewards are a lot more fun and more enjoyment when they ARE random rather than select your reward. To not overwhelm the player with decisions, it is best to have very limited choice and then provide a random outcome based on that choice.

    This is how the Christmas Boxes are set up right now and actually the most ideal way to do rewards as the surprise factor is a part of the fun aspect to the gameplay.

    Item Burning:
    The rewards should always be permanent and NEVER limited duration. Also, any character able to start item burning rather than only brand new characters.

    The challenge is to push yourself and really see what you are capable of on that class, then getting rewarded with powerful equipment to push you even further. It is important for these rewards to be permanent rather than only 90 days.

    Holiday Rewards:

    The rewards for the "EXP" section horrendous. Why are they giving out Storm Growth Potions? The last time I seen these potions was back when the level cap was 200 (or 250.) The fact the GMS team included these is just horrible as they are completely unusable for 200+ characters (at least Extreme Growth Potions are usable even above 200.) If those items weren't there, we would had a better shot at EXP coupons and the actual usable growth pots like the Typhoon Growth Potion.
    Not seeing Symbol Selectors but just Arcane Symbol Symbol Selector is just a disappointment as this doesn't boost progress for those who are in Grandis. Also the entire "Dark Maplemas Treat" section is horrible and is just a dud. No one wants potions as their reward especially when they are the untradeable kind. It has been this way for over nearly a decade. It doesn't matter what the season is as I remember complaining with a bunch of other users when we got Easter Eggs cluttering the drop table and making Hungry Muto impossible due to the access crap on the floor. At this point, the rewards from Bounty Hunter and Elite Bosses and even Monster Collection Exploration provide better rewards as they aren't filled with outdated stuff.

    UPDATE:

    The Storm Growth situation is worse than I thought. They won't even let you throw them out. So it really is a dud if all your characters are 200 or above.

    Hyper Burning
    It needs to be more fluid for characters up and beyond level 210, 220 this is v3.1, not v2.5 even!!..
    Add Storm growth potions to be 3,4 levels for characters above 210 and event exp coupons to be 5000 exp points per day hunting 1000 monsters for 2 weeks. This would make the whole process a lot smoother and a lot less ferocious to single (or double) brained me.
