Check out the v.258 - MapleStory x Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Patch Notes
here!
What bosses are easy to slay around Lv.187?
The only boss I can slayed so easily is Zakum(Easy/Normal). I tried fighting Ursus, but I couldn’t do any damage to him. Also, Hilla takes too long to slay.
Comments
Move from easy horntail to normal horntail when you can.
There is a small chance of getting a badge from easy magnus which you can do daily, the other gear might be an upgrade for you as well.
Easy Papulatus might also be desirable for the meso income this early on your journey, both of these bosses have to be unlocked (Once per account per world) so if you don't have them unlocked look up a guide for unlocking them.
For the most part you just need levels (200 for 5th job) as there are massive power spikes once you get those.
Open up Maple Guide and go to the boss tab (The middle one) then scroll all the way down to the bottom, start from the bottom and climb the page up when you need new bosses to attempt.
From Top (hardest) to bottom (easiest) and from Left (easiest) to right (hardest) is how you're supposed to read this page.
Zakum lvl 100
Hilla lvl 128
Easy Magnus 128
Normal Horntail lvl 160
Normal Arkarium lvl 200 + 75% IED
you can worry about making your first lvl 200 after your 8 first char to lvl 140(build up some link skills to massively increase your dps)
that said at lvl 180 Normal Hilla and Easy Magnus should be a complete breeze even without links
imma also assume your hyper stats are applied wrongly
ok so for boss set up(Preset 1)...in Priority you want
1.Ignore defense(IED%)....alway 3 level ahead of boss dmg & dmg(do NOT lvl it above 10)
2.1Boss dmg & dmg....lvl these 2 evenly
2.2. Crit Rate..... at low legion you lvl it evenly with boss dmg% and dmg%...at 8000-9000+ legion this should be lvl 0(no invest at all at high legion)
3. Crit dmg.....alway 3 lvl behind Boss dmg and dmg%
4. Main Stat and Attack Power to lvl 2(do NOT lvl it above that)
NOTE: NO HYPER STATS GETS TO GO ABOVE LVL 10......that is untill you got all these stats to lvl 10(list bellow)
Boss dmg%, Dmg%, Ignore Defense%, Crit dmg%, Crit Rate%
for mobbing set up priorities(Preset 2)
1. Normal dmg & Dmg lvled evenly
1.1. Crit Rate....at low legion you lvl it evenly with Normal dmg% and dmg%
2. Critical dmg....alway 3 lvl behind Normal dmg and dmg%
3.Ignore Defense....1 single point in it(never above that) because its does barely anything to normal mobs but for a cheap 1 point cost its worth the invest
4. Attack Power and Main Stat to lvl 2(when dmg% is at lvl 5)
5. Attack Power and Main Stats to lvl 5(when dmg% is at lvl 8
NOTE: no stats above 10 untill you got all your cores stats at lvl 10 just like with boss dmg
Legion Artifacts
x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x
what stats do you want on your crystal statues ?
Statue 1&2 Dmg, Crit Rate, Ignore Defense
Statue 3&4 Boss Dmg, Crit Dmg, Attack Power
Statue 5&6 Drop Rate, All Stats, Buff Duration
Statue 7&8 personnal choices(Mesos, Exp,Summon Duration, Final Attack, Cooldown Bypass chance)
basicly 7&8 depend what classes you play(Main & Boss mules, or if you want farming gains over dps)
Statue 9, leftover
x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x
what crystal should you lvl up in order ?
Step 1:Statue 1&2 to lvl 4 first(lvled evenly)
Step 2:Statue 3&4 to lvl 4 next(lvl evenly as well)
Step 3:Statue 1&2 to lvl 5 afterward
Step 4:Statue 3&4 to lvl 5 to follow up
Step 5-8: i think you know what they are base on the above
o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-oo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-
lastly lemme explain why ied% is so important for bossing(simplied way so you understand)
ok so boss have something call PDR//MDR XXX%
which is Physical/Magical dmg reduction
bosses dmg reduction range from about 70% to 380%
so if your IED% is too low you will end up doing 0 dmg or near no damage at all
so
most early game boss on their 1-2 easiest version have around 30-50% PDR/MDR
more advanced boss like Hard Magnus, 3 doors CRA, Chaos Horntail, Normal Arkarium, Chaos Zakum, Princess No have around 70-120% PDR/MDR
next ramp up are Chaos Bean and Vellum at 200% PDR/MDR
then further ramp up Lotus/Damien, Chaos Papulatus, Aketchi and a lot of bosses above them have 300% PDR/MDR
then the final step up(Super high end Bosses such as Extreme Lotus, Limbo, Kaling, and upcoming boss have 380% PDR/MDR
ok so what does this mean ?
so
30-50% pdr mean your dps gets reduce by about 0.5% for each 1% ied your missing
70-120% pdr mean your dps gets reduce by about 1% for each 1% ied your missing
200% pdr mean your dps gets reduce by 2% for each 1% ied your missing
300% pdr mean your dps gets reduce by 3% for each 1% ied your missing
380% pdr mean your dps gets reduce by 3.8% for each 1% ied your missing
so lets say you have 40% IED% and your facing at 30-50% pdr boss......your missing like 57% IED%......so 57% X 0.5 = your dps gets reduce by 28.5% dmg
but lets says you have 40% and your facing a boss with 120% pdr.....then your dps will get reduce by 68.4%
and if your facing a boss with 200% pdr and you got 40% ied...then your dps will gets reduce by 114%....basicly you be doing 0 dmg at this point if you still haven't upgrade your ied% above 40%
while ied% is extremely important for bossing..you DONT wanna spend all your hyper stats points into it untill its lvl 15...leave it at 10
why ? because above lvl 10 it cost way too much hyper stats points and your sacrificing too many level that are also needed into other stats
whats the optimal IED% ? 95-97% depending on classes(depend if they got skills with innate ied%)
possibly 94% lowest if i miscalculated something
i hope this help you out
EDIT: there a website with a calculator to optimize hyper stats, however i dont recommend bothering with it untill you got at least 8k legion and that the char your using it for is lvl 260.....be careful to not imput events stats into it because once an even end you would have to optimize again
perfect optimizing early game is too much effort require
What does DPS stands for? What is IED%?
for dps.....this is the first time you play a video game ? dps technicly stand for "damage per second" but its also use to say "damage output"
in regard to your newer thread, you be getting mesos by doing bossing and LOTS of it....at least on reboot...not sure how interactive worlds work atm
What does “PDR” stands for?
