Call me crazy, but this sets grounds for uninstalling this game.
This is a major opportunity for Inkwell to fix GMS and give the playerbase what we deserve: tweak the numbers, remove boom, or, the bare minimum, keep the boom rate but at least don’t degrade the item back to 12 stars and keep it as the last successful starforce instance. It’s INSULTING. As if getting a single dupe of some items wasn't hard enough.
This isn’t an Interactive vs Heroic war, this is a major eff up for the whole server if this changes goes live (which are like 99% happening given the past occurrences).
1.1 B a tap for Eternals at 19>20* with 15% success rate? 😂 and that’s an equip with “consistent” drop for dupes, imagine Pitched Boss set dupes? 😂😂😂😂😂
This is exactly the OPPOSITE of what we’ve been asking for months. We’ve been asking for the removal of boom and we’re being given an increased boom rate and decreased success rate? Do you really hate your players so much? 🤦🏻♂️ I know KMS directives don’t read this, I mean, we don’t even have any certainty that GMS ones do, but this can’t go live. If this goes live, it’s a 100% uninstall for me (you can have my word) and for a substantial amount of people, it’s a downgrade to starforce system. If we had unlimited access to dupes, we would be onto something else, but that ain’t the case, even interactive servers are going to have a rough time. I mean, drop rate is abysmal and we're gated to one clear per week. Other games with abysmal drop rates let you clear content over and over and over with no limits.
This is not an overstatement, it’s the actual game’s doom if GMS directives don’t deflect these changes as they currently are. You already dodged a bullet a year ago. You have another chance right now.
By the way, just take a look at you Official Discord server's Suggestion and Feedback channel. Feels like we're talking to the wall right there. We WANT communication. Constant communication. Do the bare minimum, please. The bare minimum means monthly post, or once every two weeks, sharing your thought about the upcoming changes, telling us you have read through the feedback and suggestions maplers post in the forums and Discord. They don't have to be long, just letting us know you're there, that you exist, listening, monitoring. Please.

This system actually has a higher success rate not lower.
The fact that we won't have to sit on SF for hours on end tapping wasting entire days on this system is a god send.
Easily replaced gear should be easily SF'd to 24 or 25 stars under this system which is a lot of extra attack, this allows players to more easily push higher content without having to rely on RNG gate. Simply farm more meso and try again on equips you're likely seeing every other week anyway.
This will end up making pitched far less required but will actually reduce their value on reboot by a lot as well, we need to be able to easily replace them or their value only exists at 22+ stars.
The problem with pitched becomes the fact that it's not easily replaceable, which Nexon can solve with either a pity system or some other alternative.
Boom is still too punishing for these items and for those of us at the end game I'd rather just be given safeguard all the way up to 22 or 25 stars.
Cost isn't really an issue for a player like me (end game, heroic) but rather the RNG gate behind finding new equipment is the actual gate here.
Another option is to add a new boss currency which can be traded for pitched items or allow direct replacement with a large sum of meso. (Probably 50-100b for pitched replacements)
Either of these should take an average player a few months to earn so that pitched items still keep their value as high tier end-game items.
If you set the cost too low then a player like me could just power through to even 28~30 stars with not much effort.
Pitched items being able to be "easily" 22 stars with the proper funding is probably where Nexon wants it since replaceable items will sit at 24~26.
For those of us with way too much meso even 27~30* doesn't seem too absurd under this system.
I'd say if anything, this system might be going too far in the right direction.
Some of GMS's exclusives (or just non-KMS content) don't replenish as fast. The biggest offender is the Sweetwater Shop. Pretty much all bosses Empress and above have a system that allows you to pick the armor/weapon you want by trading fragments, using coins to buy from an NPC or dropping a box which you pick anything from. Even some non-KMS content has adapted coins/redemption pieces such as PNO allowing you to pick your secondary after trading pieces and Akechi having a coin shop. Commerci's Sweetwater Equipment is only available via voyages and the drops are completely random. The bosses in Commerci Voyages should drop Armor/Weapon boxes or the Sweetwater Shop should be overhauled to include all Sweetwater Weapons and Armors and Accessories to eliminate the RNG of having poor drop rate and not finding something. Dual Blades have an extremely hard time progress needing to treat their Secondary Weapon with as many upgrade systems as a primary weapon (minus flame and soul) so that means scrolling, SF, Pot/Bpotting. This item is extremely rare and I already described how difficult finding a specific Sweetwater Weapons/Armor is. All other players can pick their Secondaries from an NPC, PNO pieces with no RNG (also they never have to worry about destruction.) It's about time Dual Blade has an easier access to their secondary and acquiring spares. Dual Blades who already 22'ed starred their Kataras have more stress to fear as their work is not done yet as their Kataras aren't an easily available item (shout to Terminus Shield which is worse for only existing in Philo/Marvel and rumors existing in Showa Town Boss.)
People are just terrible at math and numbers.
With that said, they can add in / change:
~ Destruction is -5 stars from where you were instead of going back to 12 stars, even -3 stars on destruction would be more preferred.
~ For Heroic Worlds Only, give the option to either use the same equipment to repair destroyed equipment (same system) OR a new option as well added in to pay mesos to repair the item based on the item's level.
Repair works the same way with either method, one is collect backups and the other is pay mesos.
Example values for mesos repair:
- Level 250+: 10 billion mesos
- Level 200+: 5 billion mesos (Arcane Umbra Cost is the anchor point here if you bought the droplets with mesos for the armour pieces, half the price for the weapon which gets replaced by Genesis Weapon anyways, still need to acquire the first equip)
- Level 160+: 1 billion mesos
- Level 150+: 500 million mesos (this is mostly just fafnir and superior, both of which are easy to acquire)
- Level 140+: 250 million mesos
- Level 130+: 50 million mesos (bean mark and shields for the most part)
- Level 120 and Below: Free! (this one is for potential future proofing that may or may not happen)
